See the smiling faces,
As they move across the screen;
The life and promise that they held,
Is now no longer seen.

For they have crossed the threshold,
In a heartbeat they were gone;
But a life that is remembered,
Is a life that still goes on.

Keep the flame of memory lit,
And live without regret;
For each life ‘twas lost on that bitter day,
Is a life we won’t forget.

Recall the smiling faces,
When bitter tears must fall;
For these are the faces someone loved,
The ones who gave their all.
